PATIENT ACCOUNTS REPRESENTATIVE
Brown County Hospital has a full-time, 64-hour, day shift employment opportunity in the Business Office. Candidate must be proficient in Brown County Hospital’s core values of Integrity, Excellence, Compassion, and Unity. Candidate will be responsible for all registration and collection functions of the organization.
Duties include multi-line telephone operations, patient scheduling, pre-registration/registration, insurance verification and eligibility, co-pay and/or deductible collection, cash receipt processing and reconciliation along with other general office duties.
Position requirements include basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, patient-focused customer service skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and inter-personal skills as well as working in a team approach to meeting objectives. Environment necessitates the ability to multi-task with in-person and phone interactions with all patients, assisting patients to the appropriate hospital department, detail-oriented registration work and work and comfortable with initial conversation of payment options. High school graduate is a job requirement. One year of experience in a healthcare or similar setting, experience with medical terminology, patient accounts and electronic health record are preferred requirements.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER/CORPORATE COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Brown County Hospital, designated a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital in 2018, is seeking to hire a full time Chief Financial/Corporate Compliance Officer. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for providing leadership, direction, and administration of financial activities, including general and patient accounting, health information and materials management, financial systems and controls, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting, while maintaining a high level of visibility in the facility. Will oversee all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, and adherence to the hospital’s policies and procedures covering compliance. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA, CPA or previous healthcare experience preferred. Must have strong leadership qualities with vision to facilitate change to meet healthcare needs of the community. NURSE PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Brown County Hospital, recently named a top 100 Critical Access Hospital, located in Ainsworth, NE, is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team of providers. The successful candidate will work closely with all physicians/practitioners in providing quality, comprehensive healthcare to the patients we serve. This position will be primarily based in the clinic setting and will participate in Emergency Room Call Coverage on a rotating basis. Applicant must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice in the State of Nebraska, as well as an unrestricted DEA registration. Salary range is dependent upon experience and productivity. Brown County Hospital is seeking a full-time sonographer with radiologic technologist for its growing Radiology Department. This is an opportunity to work with a strong, dedicated heath care team. Must be ARDMS and ARRT registered or registry eligible and be licensed by the State of Nebraska as a Medical Radiographer.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ultrasound experience required
- CT experience preferred. If no CT experience, must be willing to train and be able to demonstrate competency within 2 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Candidate must be able to work a varied schedule, take call and respond within 30 minutes. Call consists of 2 days per week and 1 weekend per month. A comprehensive benefits package is available.
